I love this quote too, “Borrow before you build” as it relates to rebuilding a life when tragedy strikes. The word “courage” is often used when someone reinvents their life but I can tell you from my own experience I did not feel courageous at all. I was just doing what I had to do to get by to get to a better place. Which is all that many of us are capable of when thrown into a crisis. You don’t have to be courageous, or brave to get to a better place. You just have to hold on, take the next best step, and keep the hope (no matter how minuscule) that things can and will get better
